Today I received a copy of The Australian Writer’s Marketplace 2007/08 from my favourite bookshop in the world, Gleebooks. (When you order you get a personal email to thank you and tell you it’s in the mail!)

So, I’m very happily flicking through it, through the lists of magazines, journals, newspapers, literary agents, publishers. At the back of each section there’s an International section and I think, “Cool!” So I study it and find that all international listings are from New Zealand. And that’s it! I laughed. Then I thought, ‘how cute!’ And then I got all nostalgic. I miss that part of the world.
